Lisa Kelley Boulder Psychiatry PA

About Lisa Kelly, PA-C

I am board certified physician assistant with thirty years of experience specializing in pediatric and adolescent health with a specific interest in psychiatry. Following my graduation from the University of Colorado School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, I spent two years in private practice, followed by 15 years with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at Children’s Hospital in Denver. While there I served as a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor, making contribution to multiple research publications. I then spent 12 years working as a Physician Assistant for the Denver Health School Based Health Centers. During my long career I have witnessed an overwhelming rise in the incidence of psychiatric disorders in the pediatric population, along with a disparity between the availability of medical and behavioral health services. This prompted me to make a 90 degree career change and pursue training as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant. Upon completion of Denver Health Physician Assistant and Post-Graduate Fellowship in Behavioral Health, I now find satisfaction offering my patients the therapeutic and pharmacotherapy tools that they need to help themselves.

I live in Denver and enjoy spending time with my two sons, two dogs and my partner. I enjoy tandem bicycling, hiking, chess, ping pong and travel.
