About Laura Thompson, PMHNP-BC
I am an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 13 years of clinical experience. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for individuals ages 15 to 65, specializing in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and insomnia. My approach is trauma-informed, recognizing the impact of past experiences on mental health and tailoring care to promote healing and resilience.
I develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that support each patient’s unique goals and well-being. I’m committed to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care.
I hold a BSN from Indiana University–Indianapolis and an MSN from Purdue Global University. My nursing background has shaped a compassionate, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.
Now based in the Boulder area, I enjoy exploring Colorado’s outdoors through hiking, skiing, and camping with my family. I live with my two children and two miniature goldendoodles.
