An Accurate Diagnosis is the First Step Toward Real Relief
Whether that’s a child struggling to focus in school, a teen feeling overwhelmed by workload, or an adult who’s suspected ADHD for years but never had it formally evaluated, at Boulder Creek Psychiatry, we provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations for patients for all ages.
- Ages 6-60 utilizing combination of clinical interview, quantitative rating skills, quantitative QBCheck protocol
- Children showing signs of inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity at home or school
- Adolescents struggling with focus, organization, or academic performance
- Adults who suspect they may have undiagnosed ADHD, including those newly recognizing symptoms later in life
An accurate diagnosis requires more than a quick questionnaire. Our evaluation process typically includes:
- A comprehensive clinical interview covering developmental, medical, and family history
- Standardized rating scales completed by the patient and, for children and teens, by parents and teachers
- Review of academic or work performance history where relevant
- Screening for co-occurring conditions — anxiety, depression, and learning differences frequently overlap with ADHD and can affect both diagnosis and treatment
- A collaborative discussion of results, walking you through what we found and what it means
- FDA-cleared for the diagnostic assessment of ADHD and to measure treatment response throughout medication trials
- Web-based platform for in-office and remote testing
- Suitable for ages 6-60
- 20 minute objective test with immediate results
If an ADHD diagnosis is confirmed, we work with you to build a treatment plan suited to the individual — which may include medication management, behavioral strategies, and coordination with schools or workplaces where helpful.
For children and teens, we can provide documentation to support school accommodations (such as a 504 Plan or IEP) and are glad to communicate directly with teachers or school counselors as part of ongoing care. For adults, we can provide documentation relevant to workplace accommodations when needed.
For some patients, genetic testing can help guide more precise medication decisions. Ask our team whether this may be a helpful part of your child’s treatment plan.
